Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning with up to 30 hours of freezing rain forecast for our area. We may also
experience power outages, high winds, downed trees and icy roads.
We would like to advise the community to prepare today before the rain starts, and ensure you have required medications, food,
gas, and other supplies you may need during this time.
Public Works will be sanding public areas over the course of the storm. Citizens are welcome to access sand from our Public
Works yard located at 117 Sopers lane. The gates will be open all weekend, please take only what you need for your personal
home from the sand shed.
Administration offices, Childcare, and ORRS will remain open during regular business hours unless the storm dictates
otherwise. Any changes to operating hours will be communicated through our social media channels.
If power is out for more than 4 hours, the Gathering Place at the LIFE Centre will be open for use as needed. Those connected to
the watermain will not experience a disruption to water during a power outage.
